A mega-science project is being implemented at JINR LHEP for the construction and operation of a complex of superconducting rings on colliding beams of heavy ions NICA – NICA Complex. The collider will make it possible to collide heavy ions in the energy range up to 11 GeV/nucleon, which is optimal for creating a maximum baryonic density, with a luminosity of up to 1027 cm-2 s-1.
