Team for the Future of NICA 2021 internship

This year, sixteen students from Polish Universities have participated in the 5th internship of the Team for the Future of NICA (TeFeNICA). Up to 2021, more than 100 young apprentices have already took part in this internship program. It is worth noting that this year’s internship was held in person compared to last year. This time, the topics of the projects were focused on several main areas: cryogenics, cooling systems, RACK equipment, MPD physics, and general technical projects. The results were so decent that six students decided to write their diploma theses based on the work performed in JINR. Moreover, four of the students chose to return to Dubna for at least six months. Such outcomes of the internship are more than satisfactory. They prove that attracting young people to work at JINR for a longer period of time plays a crucial role.”Team for the Future of NICA” is a program for students from Poland that provides an opportunity to complement theoretical knowledge with practice in a real experiment and then defend the Bachelor or Master thesis.
